William "Bill" Logue, 73, of Williford, formerly of Parkin, Ark., died Sept. 9, 2006, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born Jan. 6, 1933, in Vicksburg, Miss., the son of Lucas Harris Logue Sr. and Ethel Kay Ferguson Logue.
He married Glyn Dean Rice on Feb. 19, 1973. He was of the Baptist faith, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, served as a police officer in Vicksburg, Miss., retired from Red Ball Motor Freight and Parkin School District as a bus driver.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, football and going to the lake with Charlie Watson.
He is survived by: his wife, Glyn Logue of Williford; two sons, Marlon Logue and his wife, Tammy, of Earle Ark. and Leslie Caldwell of Deltona, Fla.; one daughter, Linda Cartwright of Memphis, Tenn.; four brothers, L.H. Logue, Melvin Logue, Richard Logue and Raymond Logue, all of Shreveport, La.; four grandchildren, Ashley Brougdon and her husband Allen of Hardy, Jessica Logue of Earle, John Paul Logue of Houston, Texas, and Will Caldwell of Jackson, Tenn.; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucas Logue Sr. and Ethel Logue Barber; one son, Will Earl Logue; three brothers, Cecil Logue, Joe Logue and Armond Logue; and two sisters, Ethel Mae Harbart and Alice Roach.
Graveside services were held on Sept. 13 at the Parkin Cemetery in Parkin, Ark.
