Willie Mae Young, 90, of Salem, Ark., was born on June 2, 1914, in Fayette County, Ala., the daughter of Sheard P. and Samantha J. Watkins Tucker. She died May 17, 2005, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem.

She married Dave Young in 1946 at Lepanto, Ark. She spent her working years as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and a cook/cafeteria manager for the Lepanto School system.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lepanto. While living in Salem, she attended First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Dean Weathers of Salem; a step-daughter, Bobbie Tolliver of Lepanto; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a step-son, George Young; a step-daughter, Boyd Nash; and three brothers -- Cecil Tucker, Leon Tucker and John Tucker.

The funeral service was May 19 at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem with Doug Criss and Shanda Hardin officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem.

A graveside service was May 20 at Potter's Cemetery in Lepanto. Jim Duffel officiating. Interment followed with arrangements under the direction of Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto.

Pallbearers were Glenn Tolliver, Bill Tolliver, Mitch Tolliver, Pete Cox, Lane Tolliver and Ricky Cox.
