Albert Theron Wardlow, 80, of Jessieville, Ark., formerly of Cherokee Village, Ark., died on Feb. 11, 2006, in Hot Springs, Ark.
Wardlow was born Oct. 31, 1925, in Montrose, Iowa, the son of the late Harry and Susan (Youngkin) Wardlow.
He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Moose Lodge and the VFW in Keokuk, Iowa. He was an avid bowler.
Wardlow was a member of the Spring River Presbyterian Church in Hardy.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Raymond Clouse; one son and daughter-in-law, Leslie and Linda Wardlow; one brother, Paul Wardlow; three sisters, Phoebe Tweedy, Ruth Kuchner and Priscilla Frueh; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Virginia Summers Wardlow.
A memorial service for Wardlow will be held in Iowa at a later date.
Local funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Hardy.
