Cook appointed deputy grand lecturer

Sister Glenda Peyton of Pine Bluff and Brother Johnnie Stovall of Arkadelphia, worthy grand matron and worthy grand patron of the Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star of Arkansas, have appointed Frances Tennison of Hoxie as grand Esther and Lena Cook of Cherokee Village as deputy grand lecturer for the year of 2006.

The Order of the Eastern Star is one of the largest fraternal organizations in the world and is dedicated to the betterment of mankind, county and community. Their charities this year are Estarl-religious scholarships, Red Cross, Arkansas Children's Hospital, Benevolence, Hurricane Relief, community charities, heart, cancer, Shriners Hospital, Eye Templar foundations and many more.

Members are Masons and family members of Masons. Chapters are in most cities in Arkansas.
