TREES: Members of the Mammoth Spring Tree City USA Board and Mammoth Spring Mayor Jean Pace spent a portion of last week planting approximately 200 trees at the Mammoth Spring City Park, Lassiter Access and the Mammoth Spring Cemetery. Pace said the city received the trees free through the Arkansas Department of Forestry. Four types of trees were planted. They include pine, white oak, Tupelo gum and sugar berry. The mayor said after the tree planting project is complete there should be trees left over, and anyone who lives in the city limits who would like to have some to plant on their property free of charge may do so by contacting City Hall.
