Juanita McAllister, 95, of Cherokee Village died Jan. 31, 2006, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
McAlliser was born April 4, 1910, in Havana, Cuba, the daughter of John Ventura and Maria Gimeno Ventura. She worked many years as a secretary for various companies. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cherokee Village.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Robert and Prudence McAllister of Cherokee Village and Joseph and Ruth McAllister of Staten Island, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass was held Feb. 1 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, with Father Kevin Atunzu officiating. Burial was Feb. 6 at St. John's Cemetery in Queens, N.Y.
Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
