Pamela McFarlin of Highland has received certification as occupancy specialist with the National Center for Housing Management.
McFarlin attended a three-day training during the month of September. This training is the only nationally recognized Housing and Urban Development (HUD) training offering a comprehensive analysis of all core occupancy standards as defined by HUD for management of group homes.
McFarlin is employed with Network of Community Options that manages two group homes, Catherine R. Barnett Home in Batesville and Russell J. Steubing Home in Ash Flat. The homes are owned by North Arkansas Special Housing.
NCO also manages Clayton Court in Salem, which is owned by Fulton County Community Housing.
McFarlin completed the examination with a total score of 98 percent and a percentile rank of 98.95.
