Margjorie Imogene Hall was born on Aug. 24, 1926, in Portageville, Mo., the daughter of John B. Sherrod and Ida Nancy Wyatt Sherrod and died Nov. 11, 2006, at her home in Myrtle at the age of 80.
She was united in marriage March 11, 1947, in Portage-ville to Carl Joseph Hall who preceded her in death Oct. 12, 1983.
Hall enjoyed many hobbies, including embroidery work and quilting.
She also enjoyed fishing and hunting, killing her first deer at the age of 67.
Survivors include seven children, Robert Lacy of Thayer, John Hall Sr. and wife Donna of Myrtle, Orlanda Trimble and husband Norman of Thayer Beverly Martin and husband Steve of Thayer, Linda Garske of Clarksville, Tenn., Terry Hall and wife Cheryl of Myrtle, and Karla Martin and husband Bob of Billmore, Mo.; eighteen grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; eight step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren; one brother, John Sherrod of Covington, Tenn.; two sisters, Bernice Sims of Alton and Irene Owens of Homestead, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one infant son, Felix Hall; one sister, Hazel Parks; and one infant sister, Doris Sherrod.
Services were held Nov. 17 at the Cotton Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Couch, with Bro. Ralph Douglas and Bro. Roger Brewer officiating.
Burial was in Cotton Creek Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
