Born 10-17-1930 -- Died 2-2-2008

Richard Ray Manry, of Agnos, son of the late Richard Minister Manry and Fern Estes Manry, was born Oct. 17, 1930, in Agnos, Ark. He died Feb. 2, 2008, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark., at the age of 77.

He was married to Everene Wells July 10, 1954, in Bates-ville. To this union four children were born. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. During the Korean War. He was a carpenter, building homes in Cherokee Village and Horseshoe Bend. He was a member of Agnos Church of Christ.

Survivors include: his wife, Everene Manry of the home; his children, Judy Fern Wilson and husband Bob Regina McCord and husband Roger and Nicie Martin and husband Jimmy, all of Agnos; six grandchildren, Eric McDonald, Christopher Martin,?Kathy McCord, Shayna Martin, Jason McCord and Clay McCord; two great-grandchildren; his half-brothers and sisters, Bob, Tom, Charles, Max and Ruth Manry; and a step-sister, Alice Falls.

He was preceded in death by: a son,?Jesse Ray Manry; his father and mother; and his grandfather who raised him, Clayton Estes.

Services were held Feb. 6 at the Agnos Church of Christ with burial in Agnos Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
