A Mammoth Spring man, Wesley Roberts, faces charges of felony commercial burglary and theft of property in Fulton County.
Roberts, 20, was arrested last week by Mammoth Spring Police Officer Jamie Turnbough.
The officer said on Dec. 28 he interviewed Ely Andrews about a firearm that was found at his residence earlier in the month when the Thayer Police Department executed arrest warrants at the Andrews home.
Turnbough said the firearm, a .22 caliber pistol, was stolen during a break-in at Brown's Auto Sales on Main Street in Mammoth Spring on Dec. 7.
Tim Brown, owner of Brown's Auto Sales, identified the pistol as the one stolen in the burglary.
Andrews told Turnbough that Roberts owed him some money and gave him the pistol.
Turnbough said later that day he interviewed Roberts who admitted taking the gun from the business.
Roberts was transported to the Fulton County jail at Salem. He posted a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Fulton County Circuit Court for arraignment Jan. 17.
