Brockwell men arrested

Two Brockwell men were arrested Jan. 29 on charges in Izard County of possessing marijuana and instruments of crime.

According to authorities, Larron McClure, 20, of Brockwell and Jefferson Morgan, 20, of Brockwell had the items confiscated from them at a residence off Highway 9 between Brockwell and Oxford.

Authorities say they confiscated marijuana, a smoking pipe and rolling papers.

McClure and Morgan posted bond of $750 each and were released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Julia Ann Shertz, 46, of West Plains, Mo., was arrested Jan. 23 and placed in the Izard County Detention Facility for Fulton County authorities relating to several charges which included driving on a suspended license; possession of a controlled substance, marijuana; DWI; resisting arrest and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

Shertz posted bond of $2,590 and was released the next day.

Dustin Burch, 19, of Viola was arrested Jan. 19 and charged with driving while intoxicated, minor in possession of alcohol and speeding.

Burch posted bond of $2,150 the following day and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Noel Loosey, 41, of Calico Rock was arrested Jan. 27 on warrants of first degree terroristic threatening and third degree domestic battery.

Loosey posted bond of $2,000 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Justin Janson, 20, of Calico Rock was arrested Jan. 25 on a parole/probation violation. Authorities allege that Janson tested positive for illegal drugs, including methamphetamine, when incarcerated.

Janson remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on a parole/probation hold.
