Angelo E. Darcangelo, 78, of Cherokee Village died Jan. 28, 2006, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark.
He was born on Dec. 22, 1927, in Washington, D.C., the son of Guiseppe D'arcangelo and Fiarina (Marino) D'arcangelo.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II and the Korean War.
Darcangelo retired from McDonald Douglas and moved to Cherokee Village in 1978.
He began driving a school bus for the Highland School District that same year and was a school bus driver for 28 years. Darcangelo was an outstanding bus driver and was loved by many. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge, the tennis team, the bowling league, and the Sportsman's Club.
He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cherokee Village.
Survivors include his stepson, Donald "DJ" Levosky of Fayetteville; and four sisters, Minnie Spigone of Washington, D.C, Dora McGuigan of Seabrook, Md., Lucy Pullins of Edgewater, Md., and Mary Dove of Landover, Md.
