Sex offenders fail to register

Thursday, February 23, 2006

Fulton County deputies are keeping an eye out for two sex offenders who have failed to register and were last known to be residing in Fulton County.

Jeffrey Dean Kolthoff, 23, and Alan Ray Moore, 35, are wanted for failing to register as sex offenders and not alerting police to their current whereabouts. The men may no longer be in the area.

Kolthoff's whereabouts have been unknown since he failed to report in person on April 4, 2003.

According to authorities, Kolthoff has since moved and has not contacted or notified law enforcement where he was moving.

Kolthoff's name appears on a list of sex offenders in Jasper County in Missouri. According to the list, available at www.childrens-center.org, his offense was indecent liberties with a child.

Authorities say Moore gave a false address to the Fulton County Sheriff's Office on Nov. 18, 2002. Upon being contacted, the Mammoth Spring Post Office said the address did not exist.

Two Fulton County deputies tried to locate Moore but were unsuccessful. Moore has made no attempt to register nor informed the Fulton County Sheriff's Office of his whereabouts.
