Merlyn Wynn Johnson and Amy Sue Dorris were married June 30 at the First Baptist Church of Van Buren, Mo. Charles Johnson, brother of the groom, Clinton, Iowa, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Ronnie Brawley and Jackie Chilton of Van Buren. The groom is the son of Leo and Opal Johnson of Alton.
Veronica Hollis, sister of the bride of Van Buren, was the matron of honor. Rex Wynn, cousin of the groom of West Plains, was the best man. Flower girl was Alyssa Dorris, daughter of the bride. The ring bearer was Conner Hollis, nephew of the bride. Ushers were Dustin Rector of Van Buren and Charles Peterman of Princeton, Ind., cousins of the bride. Brandy Peterman, cousin of the bride of Van Buren, was the guest book attendant.
A reception followed in the church fellowship hall.
After a Caribbean cruise to Mexico, the couple is at home in Dexter. The bride is a teacher in the Van Buren R-1 School District and the groom is high school principal in the Clarkton C-4 School District.
