Harvey Lee Gleghorn, 78, of Salem, Ark., son of the late Arch and Della Johnson Gleghorn, was born Aug. 14, 1926, in Day, Ark.
He died March 19, 2005, at McClellan VA Hospital in Little Rock, Ark.
He was united in marriage to Sibyl Harber on Feb. 14, 1948, in Melbourne, Ark. To this union three children were born. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
He was a grocer for many years and in the cable television business. He was a member of the Lions Club for many years and the Salem VFW Post 9777.
He was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sibyl, of the family home in Salem; his children -- Reggie Gleghorn of Salem, Linn Gleghorn of Little Rock, and Janelle (David) Gleghorn-Morgan of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren -- Tennile (Everett) Ellison of Salem, Justin Gleghorn of Salem, Kristyna and Karlee Gleghorn, both of Little Rock; great-grandchildren -- Braden and Bryson Love; brothers -- J.D. (BoAnn) Gleghorn of Salem, and Dean (Jeanie) Gleghorn of Mountain Home; a sister, Armilda Bell of Fayetteville, Ark.; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Helen Gleghorn, who died in infancy.
The funeral was March 22 at Salem United Methodist Church with burial in the Salem Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem, Ark.
