Estle J. Crabtree

Estle J. Crabtree, 84, of Batesville, died March 18, 2005, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born April 19, 1920, at Mobley, Ark., he was the son of Lee and Emma Bell Crabtree.
He was a retired farmer, a sawmill operator, served in the U.S. Army during World War II, a past member of the American Legion and a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Jo Lewis Crabtree of the home; three sons -- Tony Crabtree of Clarksville, Jimmy Crabtree of Saffell, and Gary Crabtree of Conway; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers -- Marvin Crabtree, Roy Crabtree, Robert Crabtree and Lee Arvin Crabtree; three sisters -- Zola James, Nita James and Virgie Melton; and a granddaughter, Penny Crabtree.
The funeral service was held March 21 at First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City, Ark., with Ron Canard and Howard Brewer officiating.
Burial followed in the Mountain View Cemetery located east of Cave City with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Greg Crabtree, Brad Maxwell, Mike Herring, Anthony Crabtree, Blayn Crabtree and Joshua Crabtree.
Honorary pallbearers were Leonard Huff, Dutch Whitmire, Doug Adams, and Doug Bennett.
