Wilborn "Ray" Williams, 70, of Ash Flat, Ark., died March 22, 2005, in Evening Shade, Ark.
Born Oct. 2, 1934, in Massville, Ark., he was the son of Sheridan Williams and Hattie Britt Williams. He was married to Mary Lou Tadlock Jan. 23, 1954, in Myron, Ark. He moved with his family to St. Louis and lived there for approximately 30 years before returning to Arkansas in 1987. He worked for the UAW Ford plant in Hazelwood, Mo., while living in St. Louis.
After moving back to Arkansas, he and his wife worked on their farm. He was a member of Myron Community Church.
Survivors include two daughters -- Anita and Larry Owens of Hardy, Ark., and Brenda and Kenny Parker of St. Charles, Mo.; two sons -- Darrel and Laura Williams and Dennis and Christi Williams of Myron; eight grandchildren -- Dawn and Dustin Trivitt of Ash Flat, Dana and Mitch Lindley of Hardy, Kenny and Melissa Parker of St. Charles, Mo., John Michael Kelley of Hardy and his fiancee, Rachel Sterling of Mendota, Ill., Melanie Parker of St. Charles, Logan Williams, Murphy Williams and Dakota Williams, all of Myron; a great-grandchild, Ashley Kelley of Hardy; a step granddaughter, Heather Owens of Mammoth Spring; and a step-great-grandson, Logan Phipps of Chicago; and two sisters -- Almagene Taylor and Loretta Williams of Cahokia, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sheridan and Hattie Williams; a brother, Vernon Williams and a sister, Melvadean Murray.
The funeral was March 26 at Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel in Highland with the Rev. Tim Turner and the Rev. Tom Rhoades officiating. Burial followed in Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat. Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland, Ark.
