Aleatha June Jones Story, 80, of Cave City died March 26, 2005, at White River Medical Center in Batesville. Born June 2, 1924, near Cushman, Ark. she was the daughter of Raymond Leon Barney and Edith Faye Mallett Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of Pool's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church at Sandtown.
Survivors include her husband of 62 year, Chester Coy Story of the home, a daughter, Karen Wooldridge of Cave City, Two brothers -- Dwayne Jones and Fred Jones, both of Batesville; two sisters -- Nelda Criman of Batesville, and Jaqueta Smith of Riverton, Utah; a grandson, Alex Chandler, a step-grandson and step granddaughter-in-law, Chad and Denise Wooldridge; a step- granddaughter, Gwen Day; four step great-grandchildren -- Paden Day, Carson Day, Rustin Wooldridge and Lindsey Wooldridge, all of Cave City, also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers -- J.H. Jones, R.L. Jones, Arthur Ronald Jones, Emil Jones, Hollis Jones and Aubrey Jones.
The funeral was March 29 at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with the Rev. Larry Morris and Jeff Holland officiating. Burial followed in Cave Creek Cemetery northwest of Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallpearers were Marty Foster, Chris Jones, Ricky Jones, Mike Jones, Rodney Jones, Frank Jones, Ronnie Jones, and Steve Jones.
