Tony G. Tucker, 80, of Ash Flat, Ark., died March 31, 2005, at his home.
Born Aug. 10, 1924, in Dell, Ark., he was he son of Tony Tucker and Emily Grace Hoover Tucker.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II. He moved to Sharp County in 1970 from Jonesboro. He owned several businesses while living in Blytheville, and Jonesboro. When he moved to Sharp County he owned stores in Hardy and also was a plumber in the area for many years. He was a member of Ash Flat Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Sonia Greene of Ash Flat; a son, Donald Tucker of Hamilton, Miss.; two brothers -- Joe Bill Tucker of Manila and Melvin Tucker of Tipton, Mich.; two sisters -- Opal Howell and Mildred Ann Polman, both of Elkhart, Ind.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Maxine Tucker in 1986; his second wife, Rachel Tucker in 2000; his loving companion, Reva Brewer in 2004; a brother, Dan Tucker; and a sister, Rose Tucker.
The funeral was April 4 at Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel with Keith Gregson officiating. Burial followed in East Ridgewood Cemetery in Mountain View, Ark., with arrangements by Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
