ALTON -- Missouri Home Care, in partnership with the Alton Senior Citizen Center, will have a free diabetic foot and neuropathy screening Jan. 27 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the senior center.
Jineane Pierce with Missouri Home Care said residents of the county are invited to the free presentation and screening on anodyne therapy.
Pierce said the screening and therapy session is for diabetics who experience numbness or tingling in their feet, legs or hands, and those who have difficulty walking or have poor circulation.
"This is a new neuropathy treatment program for the previously irreversible symptoms of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). Studies show a 95 percent reversal for patients with DPN," Pierce said.
Refreshments will be served the day of the screenings.
