Junior Richard Gage, 73, of Highland, Ark., died Jan. 1, 2006, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark.
He was born Sept. 21, 1932, in Frankfurt, Mich., the son of the late Richard Richardson Gage and Mary Hickey Gage.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Korean War.
He was retired from General Motors. He was a member of the Elks Lodge. They moved to Arkansas from Colorado in 2004, where he was an avid hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Gage of the home; three sons and their wives, David and Grace Gage of Colorado, Mike and Sharon Gage of Michigan, and Gary and Yvonne Gage of Michigan; seven daughters and their husbands, Diane and Clint Taylor of Michigan, Joane and Jerry Berthaumer of Colorado, Cathy Gage of Colorado, Laurie Salas of California, Sue and Doug Huber of Colorado, Rebecca and Mickey Coker of Hardy and Patricia Gage and Takahiro Ito of Japan; three sisters, Betty, Alice and Jean; 24 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel Funeral Home of Hardy.
