A special election that would allow the county to issue bonds for improvements to the Fulton County Hospital will begin this week. Fulton County Clerk Vicki Bishop said early voting for the special election will continue through Sept. 12 and the election will be held Sept. 13.
Fulton County Judge Charles Willett said voting for the bond issue will allow the county to proceed with construction and other improvements at the hospital. A sales tax increase was approved by county voters in April of last year.
He said this is not a new tax; the tax has already been approved.
Bishop said early voting for county school elections will be held Sept. 6 through Sept. 19 at the Fulton County Courthouse.
