Georgia Ann Reef was born the daughter of Marvin Bray and Alice Pauline Cantrell Bray on Jan. 10, 1939, in Farewell, Ark., and died Sept. 14, 2007, in Mount Vernon, Ill., at the age of 68.
She was united in marriage Dec. 17, 1954, at Thayer, Mo., to Bobby A. Reef who preceded her in death March 17, 2006.
Besides being a homemaker, Georgia was a pharmacy technician, working for Palace Drug for 17 years. She was later employed by Carter Funeral Home in Thayer as a receptionist.
She is survived by: one daughter, Kimberly Rogers and husband, Brian of Mount Vernon; one son, Robert Michael Reef and wife, Ester of Chula Vista, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Hector Rodriguez, Jessica Rodriguez, Brandon Tompkins, Jonathan Rodriguez, Kristen Tompkins, BriAna Reef and Chase Rogers; five sisters, Hazel Estep of Rogers, Ark., Helen Ramsey of West Plains, Mo., Rita Dougherty of West Plains, Janice Spickard of Springfield, Mo. and June Wyatt of West Plains; several nieces; nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bobby Reef.
Funeral services were held Sept. 18 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, with Joe Slater officiating.
Burial followed in the Thayer Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
