Guentner, Welte to unite in matrimony

Elaine Guentner of Bigelow, Ark., and D.J. Welte of Jonesboro will be married Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. at the Greene Chapel at Hendrix College in Conway, Ark.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Akridge. Her grandparents are Betty Goodson and the late Brian Goodson and Charlie Akridge.

The prospective groom is the son of Roxanne Lewis of Muskegon, Mich., and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Welte of Hardy. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bill Lewis and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bob Welte.

The bride-elect has a bachelor's of science in communication disorders and in December 2005 will receive a master's degree in communication disorders from Arkansas State University. She is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority.

The groom has a bachelor's of science in communications with an emphasis in news media. He currently serves as video coordinator for ASU's football team.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the ceremony Dec. 17 and the reception following at Trieschmann Gallery in Conway.
