Hazel Lucy Chadwick Goodwin of Salem, Ark., daughter of the late Carson Benjamin and Addie Elizabeth Jacob Simmons was born Sept. 6, 1912, in Oxford. She died Dec. 16 at Salem at the age of 93 years.

She was united in marriage to Alfred Matthew Chadwick on Jan. 14, 1930 in Fulton County, Ark., and was later married to E.B. Goodwin on Aug. 2, 1985, at Thayer.

She spent her working years as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and a beautifician. Chadwick was a member of Salem First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorma Lee Waltrip and husband, Harold, of Melissa Texas and Carolyn June Senn of Tallahassee, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Carol Scott, Gary Waltrip, Elizabeth Waltrip, Melissa Atchison, Melinda Waltrip, Donna Senn, Deena Senn, and Darla Grant; 14 great-grandchildren, Amy Welch, Susan Scott, Sarah Waltrip, Jarrod Waltrip, Jonathan Waltrip, Jeremy Waltrip, Samantha Waltrip, Krisofer Waltrip, Catherine Atchison, Amanda Atchison, Magen Senn, Chase Barineau, Justin Grant, and Amber Grant; one great-great-granddaughter, Rebecca Welch; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, and a sister, Lela Yancey.

The funeral service was held Dec. 20 at Salem First Baptist Church with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment was in the Salem Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Ark.

Pallbearers were Clarence Bowling, Bob Bowling, Ron Helm, Boyd Hickinbotham, Gene Story and Milton Humphries.
