John Inge Risvold, 85, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., died Dec. 1, 2005, at the North Arkansas Life Care Center in Horseshoe Bend. He was born April 3, 1920, in Wausau, Wis., the son of Magnus and Bertha Madland Risvold. He moved to Chicago, Ill, where he received his schooling. He was married to Beatrice Danner on Sept. 19, 1957 in Ottawa, Ill.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific area and graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago with a degree in engineering. He held engineering supervisory and management positions in Texas, Kentucky and Illinois, retiring from Teepak Corporation in Danville, Ill., after 22 years. He moved to Horseshoe Bend in 1982. He loved woodworking and breadmaking.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice of the home; and a daughter, Pamela of Lake in the Hills, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Christopher Risvold; and a sister, Ruth Edmondston.
A memorial service will be held later. Arrangements are by the Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.
