Agnes Mooney, 94, of Johnston City, formerly of Agnos, Ark., who lived 75 years in Fulton County, died Sept. 11, 2005 at home. She was born July 23, 1911, in Saddle, daughter of Jessie and Etta Pulley McHenry.
She married Hubert Mooney Nov. 18, 1928 in Saddle He preceded her in death March 29, 1986. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ of Herrin. She loved flowers, gardening and quilting.
Survivors include two daughter, Laferne Martin and husband, Keith of Johnston City and Iverne Pence of Lee's Summit, Mo.; six grandchildren, Cathy Linton and husband, Mike, Ron Martin and wife, Patti, Tim Martin and wife Nancy all of Johnston City, Debbie Koopman and husband, Mark of Glen Ellyn, Karen Rosenzwaig of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Nancy Didion and husband, Art of Lee's Summit; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mattie Estes of Mammoth Spring; two brothers, Lloyd McHenry of Salem and Isaac McHenry and wife Elva of Raymore, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Blanche Martin of Salem; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Albert Mooney; a grandson, Chris Pence; a son-in-law, Kenneth Pence; four sisters and a brother.
The funeral service was held in Murman and Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City.
A graveside service was held Sept. 14 at the Saddle Cemetery in Saddle, Ark. Memorials may be made to Saddle Cemetery Association c/o Charles French, 5203 French Town Road, Mammoth Spring, AR 72554. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or the cemetery.
