Elmer Edward Mickel-son, 79, of Horseshoe Bend, died Oct. 3, 2005, at Horseshoe Bend, Ark.

He was born March 31, 1926 in Arena, Wis., the son of Albert and Tillie Odness Mickelson. He was married to Geraldine Aron on May 10, 1947, in Spring Green, Wis.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was an electricial engineer sales manager for many years. He was a member of the VFW in Fairfield, Bay, Wis., a member of the Knights of Columbus in Horsehsoe Bend and a member of St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Horeshoe Bend.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine; four sons, Ronald Mickelson of Prairie Du Chien, Wis., Scott Mickelson, of De Forest, Wis., Todd Michelson of Winnecone, Wis, and John Mickelson of Wild Rose, Wis.; two daughters Nancy Rothe of Jackson, Miss., and Therese Nowak of Hortonville, Wis.; four sisters, Albertha Sharer of Dousman, Wis., Doris Gladem of Mashall, Wis., Sally Milne of Mesa, Ariz., and Arline Richads of Spring Green, Wis.; 17 grandchildrn; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; eight brothers; and a grandchild.

A memorial mass was held Oct. 8 at St. Mary's in Winneconne, Wis., with local arrangements by Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.
