Sherry Gay Owens Cochran, of Salem, Ark., daughter of the late Thurlo Noble Owens and Jewell Francise Vanderpool Owens, was born Aug. 25, 1943, in Wenatchee, Wash. She died Nov. 17, 2005, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, at the age of 62.
She was married to Jerry Dean Cochran in 1962 at Union, Ark., and to this union two children were born. She was a beautician and was a member of Salem Church of Christ.
Survivors include her children, Doris Moss and husband, Randy, of Pineville, and Roger Dean Cochran and wife, Bobbie, of Camp, Ark.; grandchildren, Shawnda Jo Mohr, Rebecca Nicole Moss, Evan Dean Cochran, Jenny Lynn Drain, Adam Wesley Cochran and Amanda Megan Cochran; her great-grandchild, Lance Michael Corter; her brother, Garry Owens of Little Rock; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
Services were held at the Salem Church of Christ with burial in the Oxford Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
