McKinley "Ken" Burge, 72, of Cave City, died Nov. 8, 2005, at his home. He was born March 13, 1933, at Grange, Ark., to Otho McKinley and Celia (Allen) Burge. He was self-employed in the food service industry, a musician and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years Lorene Burge of the home; one son, Max Burge of Batesville; three grandchildren, Lori Ray of Greenwood, Angela Harris of Batesville and Travis Hodge of Grange; one great-granddaughter, Anna Ray of Greenwood and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Florence Hodge.
The funeral service was held Nov. 10 at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Dennis Gay and Bro. Ron Shipley officiating. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery located east of Cave City with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Verlin Brown, Jerry Sullens, Gary Whisnant, Vaughn Riley, Billy Snow, and Bill Freeze.
Honorary pallbearers were Harrison Townsley, Roger Cain, Shelby Blevins and Buddy Brooks.
