Coy Dale Sanders, son of the late Roy James Sanders and Lolita Stowers Sanders, was born Nov. 12, 1936, in Dolph Ark.

He died Nov. 5, 2005, at Calico Rock at the age of 68.

Sanders was married to Wanda Lee Neal on Jan. 22, 1955, in Mountain Home. To this union two sons were born.

Sanders served in the United States Army during peacetime. He received good conduct and sharp shooter medals. Sanders was a master plumber in the area for over 30 years. His other accomplishments include a six year term as shop steward for the Teamsters Local 587 in Kansas City, Mo..

He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Industrial Development Corporation. He was a charter member of the Brunner Hill Water System.

Sanders was baptized at Trimble Campground Baptist Church.

Sanders leaves to mourn his death, his wife of 50 years, Wanda Lee Sanders of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Coy Neal and Edith Sanders of Mountain Home and Justin Dale and Jessica Sanders of Calico Rock; one grandson, Ezekie Oliver B. Sanders of Mountain Home; two sisters, Willa Mae Edwards of Violet Hill and Kathleen Morehead of Violet Hill; two brothers, Glen Sanders of Calico Rock and Vernon Dockins of Gainesville, Mo.; a special niece, Kathy Ward of Springfield, Mo.; a host of other relatives and many good friends.

Sanders was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Nancy Burke.

Funeral service was Nov. 8 at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Wayne Wood and Jeff Sanders officiating. Burial was at Wayland Arbor Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.

Pallbearers were Danny Moser, Jim Mitchell, Junius Lawrence, Jerry Mienzer, Nick Smithson and Buster Jones.

Honorary Pallbearers were Danny Edwards, Kevin Jones, Jay Dixon, Tim Jones and Bill Killian.
