James "Jamie" Patrick Clary was born on March 11, 1983, in Overland Park, Kan., son of James and Deborah (Henne) Clary.
He died Aug. 29, 2006, in Springfield, Mo., at the age of 23.
Survivors include his mother, Deborah Clary; a sister, Marisa Clary, and his brother, Bradley Clary, all of Springfield, maternal grandparents, Ed and Joyce Henne of St. Louis, Mo.; paternal grandmother, Nancy Clary of Alton, Mo.; uncles and aunts, Todd and Cindy Henne of St. Louis, John and Cathy Clary of Eatonton, Ga., Tom and Diana Clary of Alton; and cousins, Rob, Jason, Chris, Jon and Matthew Clary and Carrie Henne; a special friend, Paige Lott; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Clary attended the Pershing Elementary and Middle School and graduated from Glendale High School in 2001.
He was a student at OTC and was working as a landscaper.
He enjoyed his passion for cars and volunteering for Special Olympics.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Kirby Clary; and his grandfather, J.Q. Clary.
A graveside service at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Alton was held on Sept. 4 with Bro. David Scott officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to Special Olympics of Southwest Missouri or a memorial has been established at Great Southern Bank in Jamie's name.
