Vernice Aileen Green-Braswell, 80, of Georgetown, Texas, formerly of Alton, Mo., was born June 2, 1926, and died Sept. 12. 2006.
Survivors include her husband, T. Joe Braswell of Georgetown; two daughters, Verna Browning and husband Harvey of Georgetown, Texas, Rebekah Tripp and husband David of Portland, Oregon; two grandchildren, Sean and Aaron Tripp of Portland; one brother, Walter Green and wife, Glenna of Salem; five sisters-in-law, Patsy Braswell of Alton, June Green of Nixa, Mo., Wanda Green of Oklahoma, Sarah Braswell Masters of Nebraska, Carolyn Green of Ill.; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Green and Lillian Aileen Hubbell Green; and four brothers, James, Gerald, Joseph and Lawrence Green.
The funeral services were held on Sept. 16 in the Alton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Tabor, Rev. Courtney Braswell, Rev. Steve Green, Rev. Thomas Green and Rev. Nathaniel Green officiating.
Burial followed in the Huddleston Cemetery with funeral arrangements under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton.
Pallbearers were Sean Tripp, Aaron Tripp, J.W. Green, Geof Green, Eddie Green, Scott Braswell and Tim Green.
