Arthur Elmer Sexton died April 25, 2007. He was born May 10, 1914 in Oxford the son of Marvin E. and Martha Langston (Dollie) Sexton.
He grew up on a farm and at an early age started farming himself. He was united in marriage to Eunice Audry Elliott December 23, 1939 in Wild Cherry, Ark. To this union four children were born.
Sexton has been a member of the Church of God since 1941 and a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 plus years. He has made his home in Wenatchee, Wash. since 1980.
Survivors are: three sons, Darrel of East Wenatchee, Wash., Dale of Chatom, Ala., Ell Dee of Fayetteville, Ark.; one daughter Carolyn Rector of Melbourne; a very special son-in-law and daughter-in-law Bob Rector and Sandra Sexton; Eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; one brother Leonard Sexton of Wenatchee, Wash.; and one sister Verena Graham of Ralston, Neb.
He was proceeded in death by: his wife Eunice; granddaughter Tina Rector; his father and mother; three brothers; and three sisters.
He also leaves to mourn his wife of the home, Patricia Sexton and seven step children; David, Greg, Tony, Duayne and Tom Eastman, Theresa McGuire and Karen Dublin. Several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held May 4 at Cox-Blevins Funeral Home in Salem with Rev. Arthur Barber officiating. Inter-ment will follow in the Salem Cemetery. Arrangements were by Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem, assisted by Telford's Chapel of the Valley East Wenatchee, Wash.
Pallbearers were Hayden Sexton, James Dee Sexton, Gene Sexton, Cliff Sexton, Shawn Sexton and Mark Sexton.
Honorary pallbearers were James Sexton, Forrest Knapp, Marvin Newton, Gary Williams, Jerry Skidmore and Charles Sherman.
