Cara Mae Beavers Teague, daughter of the late Charles William Beavers and Ada Martha Elizabeth Hall Beavers was born Nov. 19, 1914, in Rae Valley, Ark.
She died Jan. 12, 2007, at Calico Rock, Ark., at the age of 92.
She was united in marriage to Ralph Teague on Dec. 24, 1938, at Culp, Ark., and to this union three children were born.
She obtained a bachelor's degree from Arkansas Teachers College in Conway. Early in her teaching career, she taught in many rural schools in the area. Later she taught second grade in Norfork and fourth grade at Calico Rock. She also enjoyed quilting, being a wife, mother, homemaker, and grandmother. She was a member of the Lone Rock Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Ava and Billy Brewer of Calico Rock and Ella Faye White of Calico Rock; one daughter-in-law, Pat Teague of Mountain View, Ark.; one brother, Carl Beavers of Pottersville, Mo.; one sister, Jesse Howard of Dora Mo.; seven grandchildren Vickey Stratton, Cindy Dirst, Karen Jones, Mary Beth Sinyard, Terri Teague Ross, Teresa Bruggeman, Doran White; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband one son, Ernie Teague; one grandson, Billy Brewer; one son-in-law, Jerry White; four brothers Herman Beavers, Thurman Beavers, Garland Beavers and Claude Beavers; and two sisters, Betty Owens and Lizzie White.
Funeral services were Jan. 15 at the Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Jimmie Smith officiating.
Burial was in the Katy Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
Pallbearers were Brett Stratton, Brian Dirst, Christopher, Jones, Patrick Sinyard, Jason Bruggman and Jason Ross.
