Long receives scholarship

Cori L. Long of Salem, a senior at Salem High School, has accepted a Dean's Scholarship to attend Arkansas State University in Jonesboro next fall.

During high school she was a member of the Salem FFA?Chapter's Parliamentary Procedure and Poultry team, All-Region member of the Salem High School Band, played for the Lady Greyounds Softball team, and was a member of the Beta Club. She plans to major in elementary education.

Her parents are Rob and Cari Long of Salem.

ASU awards Dean's Scholarships each year through a competitive process based on ACT/SAT?scores and grade point average. They are available to Arkansas residents who have graduated from an Arkansas high school. The Dean's Scholarship, currently valued at $22,840 over four years, covers tuition and fees for up to 15 credit hours per semester.
