Clayton I. Dissinger, 86, of Williford, died Feb. 15, 2007 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. Dissinger was born March 18, 1920, in Bouton, Iowa, the son of John I. Dissinger and Alice (Kraus) Dissinger.
He was a graduate of the Iowa State College with a degree in electrical engineering. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II. He moved to Cherokee Village in 1998 from Iowa.
He was united in marriage to Brenda Whithead on June 5, 1999, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Cherokee Village. Dissinger was a member of the American Legion and VFW and served as a firefighter for over 50 years. He was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Dissinger and one sister, Ruth Undervich,
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Ruth; and his daughter Elizabeth.
A memorial service will be held later. Arrangements are by Tri-County Funeral Home.
