Parks said Pat Lowmon is this year's chairperson for the talent shows.
On Aug. 8, at the pavilion on the hill at the park, there will be gospel music. The Chewning Family from Alton will perform at 7 p.m.
On Aug. 10 the VFW will sponsor a patriotic evening with Jeff and Diane Thorpe. "We are asking everyone to wear red, white and blue as a show of support for our troops. We are asking veterans to come to the program and introduce themselves and let us show them how proud we are of them." Parks said.
On Aug. 11, the J.W. Hurtt Band will perform at the pavilion from 7 to 9 p.m. Parks said everyone is welcome to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy the music.
The carnival will be open each night of the Reunion at 6 p.m. Armbands will be available each evening. Parks said a kid's day is planned for Saturday afternoon. The VFW will host a bicycle drawing Saturday afternoon when a boy and girls bicycle will be given away.
