Uncompliant sex offender found in Colorado

Thursday, August 2, 2007

Allen R. Moore, a Level 3 sex offender, has been located in Colorado.

Fulton County Deputy Rhonda Long said she received a phone call after the story about Fulton County sex offenders was published in the July 19, The News. She said the person who asked to remain anonymous, told her Moore was living in Thornton, Colo., a suburb of Denver.

Long contacted authorities in Colorado who told her Moore was in compliance with the state's sex offender registration laws. Moore will not be brought back to Arkansas.

Moore was charged, while in the military, of rape of a 4-year-old female. The rape took place in Japan.

He was assessed by the Arkansas Department of Correction in Jan. of 2003 as a Level 3 sex offender. At that time he gave authorities a fictitious address in Mammoth Spring. He was wanted in Fulton County for failure to register as a sex offender. Level 3 offenders must register with the sheriff's office every six months.

Three other men, Randy Campbell whose last known address was in Gepp, Ark.; Jeffrey Alan McGovern whose last known address was in Cherokee Village; and William Dana Studley, no known address, are still being sought by the Fulton County Sheriff's Office. Anyone with information about these men are asked to contact the Fulton County Sheriff's Office at 895-2601.
