Hospital employees get R&R break

Thursday, August 2, 2007

After six years of no employee appreciation programs or parties, the Fulton County Hospital held a pool party for employees and their families July 26 at the Salem Civic Center.

"This is a kick off for events to come," said Trena Spears, the hospital's director of public relations and marketing. "We plan to make this (pool party) an annual event."

Spears said the party was a huge success, and that there were numerous local sponsors that helped in making the party possible: Premiere Home Furnishings, White Oak Station, Barker Funeral Home, Joe's Service and Tire, Laurie Romine, Salem Drug Company, Smiley's Pizza, Bank of Salem, First National Banking Company, Leon's Automotive, Baker's Pharmacy, RadioShack and Tina McCullough.

"Without these sponsors, nothing would be possible. There's a lot of hard work that goes into our facility, and the employees are definitely deserving of community support and recognition," Spears said. "The Fulton County Hospital thanks everyone who made this happen."
