Gilbert H. Rutledge was born the son of Lawrence Rutledge and Elizabeth Honeycutt Rutledge on June 5, 1951, at Alturas, Calif., and died Feb. 13, 2008, at his home in Imboden, Ark., at the age of 56.

He was united in marriage Oct. 16, 1975, at Mammoth Spring, Ark., to Judith Medlock.

He was a veteran, serving his country in the United Sates Navy.?He was a supervisor, employed by Pinnacle Frames in Pocahontas, Ark., for 14 years.

He is survived by: his wife, Judith Rutledge of the family home in Imboden, Ark.; two sons, Mark Rutledge and wife, Dinesa of Imboden and Gilbert Rutledge Jr., of Texas; one step-son, Chad King of Portia, Ark.; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Leland, Damon, Jessica and Joey; his father, Lawrence Rutledge of ?Napa, Calif.; six sisters, Teletha Weiland of Williford, Ark., Mary Owens of Tulsa, Okla., Rosetta Helt of Flippin, Ark., Debbie Smithee of Monette, Ark., Margaret Grable of Flippin, Ark., and Alma Schofield of Wichita, Kan.; two brothers, James Lesley Rutledge of Couch, Mo., and Jerry Rutledge of Hidden Valley, Ark.; nieces; nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his mother, Elizabeth Rutledge.

Funeral services were held Feb. 16 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Mo., with Rev. John Honeycutt officiating. Burial followed in the Myrtle Cemetery at Myrtle, Mo., with arrangements under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
