Henry Jack Tesmer, 85, formerly of Horseshoe Bend died Oct. 19, 2005, at the Eaglecrest Nursing and Rehab in Ash Flat, Ark.
He was born Jan. 15, 1920, in Rochester, N.Y., son of the late Henry and Jennie Singer Tesmer.
He married Dorothy Holzschuh on Dec. 10, 1942. He was of the Lutheran faith.
He was a Navy World War II veteran, a member of the American Legion Post 344, a lifetime member of VFW Post 4772, a member of Turkey Mountain Golf Association and a member of Eagles Aerie 3431 in Horseshoe Bend. He was a manufacturing engineer for IBM in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Rochester, Minn., retiring after 40 years. He and his wife, Dorothy, moved to Horseshoe Bend in 1978.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, David and Sue Tesmer of Millersburg, Mich., formerly of Horseshoe Bend; his daughter, Cheryl Coulter, of Minneapolis, Minn.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, a brother, Russell Tesmer and his parents.
The body was cremated and burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester, Minn.
Local arrangements were under the direction of the Tri-County Cherokee Chapel of Highland, Ark.
