The children of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Eugene Linderman, honored their parents recently as they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
Clifton Linderman was born in Salem, Ark. in 1918 and enlisted in the US Army in 1941, serving in WWII. While stationed in California, he met Myrtle Marguerite McClaran, who was born in Joy Coy, Colo., in 1923. They were united in marriage on July 14, 1942 in Redlands, Calif. They later moved to Arkansas and have resided here ever since, raising nine children to adulthood. Clifton Linderman has served this area as a locksmith for many years.
The 65th wedding anniversary celebration and annual family reunion was held June 30 at the Mammoth Spring State Park. Hosted by the couple's children and their spouses: Eugene and Bobbie Linderman, Gail and Bob Yon, and Judy Farrell from Forrest City, Ark.; Cheryl and Joe Bond from Springdale, Ark.;Marcia and Travis Shirley from Dover, Ark.; Jan and Judy Linderman from Sherwood, Ark.; Wanda and Tommy Garner from Hardy, and Terry and Sandra Linderman from Mammoth Spring. There were 112 family members, including 26 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and numerous other cousins and family members attended the celebration.
