Fay Frazier of Evening Shade, Ark., died July 11, 2007, at the Cave City Nursing Home. She was born Aug. 8, 1920, in Evening Shade, Ark., the daughter of Earl Brown and Maud Ferguson Brown.
She was retired from Banquet Foods, a homemaker and a member of Antioch Baptist Church at Zion, Ark.
She was a very independent woman, hard working, enjoyed working in her flower garden and would give flowers and bulbs to family for them to grow. She also enjoyed making a vegetable garden and enjoyed canning the vegetables. Her nieces and nephews always spent time at her home in the summer.
She is survived by: one brother, Nelson Brown of Batesville; two sisters, Lillian Stroud of Evening Shade and Norma Smith of Cave City; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, R.A. Frazier; and two sisters, Lorene Soward and Velma Polk.
Funeral services were held July 14 at Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City, with Gayle Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Antioch Cemetery at Zion.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were John Ables, Billy Ray, Mike Bell, Pete Ring, Van Thomas and Dowell Thomas.
