Lois Erma Jean Jones Brashers, 69, of Cave City died Aug. 19, 2006, at her home.
She was born on Nov. 13, 1936, at Bethesda, Ark., to Geneva Griffin and Marvin Jones.
She was raised by a loving aunt and uncle, Lena and Harry Rowlett.
She was retired from Cave City Schools, was a Christian and a member of Liberty Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include four children, Bryan Andrews and wife Donna, Tricia Penn and husband Greg, Bill Brashers Jr. and wife Mary, all of Cave City, and Melissa Foster of Batesville; three sisters, Georgia Dowell of Batesville, Linda Dowell of Portage, Mich., and Carolyn Wikoff of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Travis Penn, Kaitlyn Penn, Alex DeWandler, Paige Moyer-Brashers, Eric Moyer-Brashers, all of Cave City, David Brashers of Long Beach, Miss., Sr. Airman Preston Goodman-USAF stationed in Kyrgyzstan, Blake Goodman of Batesville, and Amanda Foster of Fayetteville; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, aunt and uncle, and loving husband, Bill Brashers.
The funeral services for Lois Brashers were held on Aug. 22 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with George Rudick officiating.
Burial followed in the Palestine Cemetery located west of Cave City with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Gary Bradley, Nathan Bradley, Randy Gann, Donald Hastings, Bob Brown and Jimmy Tackett.
Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren.
