Virginia Frealy Combs of Dyersburg, Tenn., daughter of the late Creasy and Oscar Decker, was born Aug. 4, 1925, at Moko, Ark., and died Aug. 15, 2006, at the home of her daughter, Mabel Paschal, in Jackson, Tenn., at the age of 81.
On April 14, 1943, she was united in marriage at West Plains, Mo., to James Austin Frealy, who preceded her in death Feb. 19, 1979.
She was united in marriage on Dec. 17, 1982, to Rev. Davie N. Combs at West Plains.
He preceded her in death on March 22, 1987. Also preceding her in death were a brother, Vince Decker and two sisters, Monieda Holman and Wilma Gutelius.
She was a loving and devoted mother to three surviving children, Mabel Paschal of Jackson, Tenn., Donna Ramey and Ray Frealy of Dyersburg, Tenn., grandmother of Troy Frealy, Frances Frealy and Jennifer Frealy, and great-grandmother of Austin, Deanna and Josh Frealy.
Other survivors include two sisters, Beth and husband Leo Childress of Memphis, Tenn., Dorlene and husband Gene Lamb of Memphis; and two brothers, Burnan and wife Nell of Memphis, and Amon and wife Reva of Thayer.
Graveside services for Virginia Combs were held on Aug. 17 at Kosh Cemetery in Koshkonong, Mo.
Virginia's nephew, Minister Bobby Clark, presided over the services.
Arrangements were under the direction of Lawrence Sorensen Funeral Home.
