Sheri Felton and Joe Newton of West Plains announce the marriage of their son Derek Stephen Felton to Courtney Lea Risner daughter of Terry and Janette Frey, and the late Brad Risner of Mammoth Spring.
The couple was united in marriage May 25 at the Thayer Church of Christ with Joe Slater officiating.
Courtney wore a white strapless gown with a long train and carried a bouquet of red roses made by her grandmother, Laverne Risner.
Derek wore a black tuxedo with an apple red vest.
Shelby Frey, maid of honor and bridesmaid, Alyssa Blankenship, wore floor length black skirts with apple red strapless tops. Both carried red rose bouquets and had a red rose in their hair.
Best man, Jessie Gaines and groomsman, Ryan King wore matching black tuxedos with apple red vests.
Flower girl, Madison Jolyne Newton, wore a white floor length dress with apple red trim. She carried a red and white basket containing red rose petals and wore a red rose in her hair. Bradley Risner, ring bearer, wore a black tuxedo with an apple red vest.
Candle lighters were Sunnie Rogers and Kylee Bush.
A reception followed the ceremony in the fellowship room at the church.
The couple stayed at a resort on Lake Norfork for their honeymoon and now reside in Alliance, Neb., where Derek is employed by Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.
