Christi (Watson) Griffin has established a charity account for a former classmate from the Thayer High School class of 1999. Melinda Merritt's 3-year-old daughter, Bre, has been in a coma for over two weeks.
Merritt was serving our country on a Naval ship in the Persian Gulf when she received the call that her oldest daughter was in a coma with hemorrhaging and limited brain activity. Diagnostic testing has not pinpointed the exact cause. Melinda's insurance will not cover the major of these expenses, which are already totaling thousands of dollars.
"You can help fight to bring this 3-year-old back to us. Please support the family through prayers and any amount of financial support," said Griffin. An account was opened at The Bank of Salem located in Mammoth Spring.
The account name is the "Bre Merritt's Benefit Account." Anyone who has further questions or wants to help in any other ways can contact Griffin at 417-840-9298.
