Brandon Cook
New troopers to patrol locally

Of the 32 graduates who completed the Arkansas State Police Academy June 15, three are from the surrounding area.

Brandon Cook, 42, of Violet Hill and Coty Williams, 21, of Calico Rock were assigned to Troop I and will be patrolling throughout Izard County.

Billy McCradic, 25, of Mammoth Spring was assigned to Troop E and will be patrolling throughout Arkansas County.

Each new trooper accumulated 41 college credit hours toward an associate degree in criminal justice through Black River Technical College at Pocahontas, as well as a 23-week course in which they earned 1,158 hours of law enforcement training in police studies, firearms, physical fitness and emergency vehicle operations at the training academy in Little Rock.
