Lois Willene (Dickey) James, 79, of Cave City, Ark., residing at Rolling Hills Nursing Center in Batesville, died June 18, 2007, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born July 9, 1927, at Poughkeepsie, Ark., the daughter of the late Lawson and Ethel (Eason) Dickey.
She worked at the International Shoe Factory in Batesville, was a homemaker and a long-time member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.
Survivors include: one son, Ronald James and wife Linda of Batesville; two daughters, Terresa Milligan and husband Bill of Southside and Latina James of Southside; one sister, Maxine Anderson of Cave City; seven grandchildren, Angie Gash of North Little Rock, Kelly Roberson and David Keene both of Lavon, Texas, Chad Milligan of Paragould, Cynthia "Cindy"?Miller of Texas, Jonathon James of the U.S. Army, Afghanistan and Peyton Cole Woodard of Southside; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, J.W. James; three brothers, Homer Dickey, Curzy Dickey and Lawson Dickey Jr.; and one sister, Chestine (Dickey)?Fisher.
Funeral services were held June 21 at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Wayne Goodman officiating. Burial followed in the Mount View Cemetery located east of Cave City with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Joey Carpenter, Gene Smith, Jim Smith, Dennis Smith, Chad Milligan and Jeff Gash.
Honorary pallbearers were Odis Perkey, Dr. Bob Slaughter, Charlie Joe Carpenter, Charles Landers, Dale Murphy, Dean Murphy and Danny Murphy.
